May 1 · Reflection
Some mornings the worry is about things you cannot touch. What others decide, how the day turns out, whether the news is kind. The Stoics drew a clear line: some things answer to you, and most do not. Your effort, your honesty, your next small choice are yours. The outcome rarely is. This is not giving up. It is putting your energy where it can actually move something, instead of spending it on what stays out of reach. When you feel pulled thin, ask quietly: is this mine to carry? If not, you are allowed to set it down and breathe.
