August 1 · Reflection
Some mornings the day already feels too big. The weather, the news, what other people decide, how a hard conversation will land. The Stoics split the world in two: what is up to us and what is not. Your choices, your effort, your attention, your response are yours. Almost everything else is borrowed. This isn't giving up. It's putting your strength where it actually works instead of spending it on what you were never going to move. When you let go of the rest, you usually find more energy for the small, real thing in front of you. That thing is enough for now.
