I let what blocks my way teach me how to go.

Marcus wrote that the mind can turn each obstacle into material for itself, that what stands in the way can become the way. This isn't toxic positivity; he's not saying obstacles are secretly nice. He's saying that even the thing blocking you can be used, as practice in patience, as a push to find another route, as a place to grow some quality you lacked. You don't have to be grateful for the wall. You can just refuse to let it be only a wall. A delay can become rest; a setback can become a redirection. The choice of what to make of it is one of the few that stays yours. Today, take one frustration and ask what it could teach or build in you.

Inspired by the old idea of amor fati. Written by Ugo Charles.
