Marcus liked to imagine looking down on his own life from far above, the way you'd see a whole landscape instead of one anxious figure inside it. From up there, the thing that felt enormous becomes one small part of a much larger picture. This isn't about shrinking your feelings until they don't count. It's about loosening their grip when they've grown larger than the situation deserves. Many of our biggest worries are big mostly because we're standing too close. Step back in your mind, picture the city, the years, the countless others living through their own days, and the knot in your chest often eases on its own.
