Epictetus reminded his students that they already carried the tools to meet the day, the ability to choose, to endure, to act well. We often freeze because we're measuring ourselves against the whole mountain at once. But you're never asked to climb it all in one move. You only need enough for the next step, and that you usually have. When a task feels too big, shrink it until it fits in your hands today. The full picture can wait. Trusting that you have what this next bit requires is often the difference between staying stuck and quietly moving forward. You're more equipped than your fear lets you believe.

Inspired by the old idea of dichotomy of control. Written by Ugo Charles.
