I meet what comes today as part of my own road.

Amor fati means loving your fate, not just bearing it. Marcus didn't pretend hard things were good things. He practiced taking them as the material he had to work with, the way weather is the material a sailor works with. You don't have to like everything that happens today. But you can stop fighting the fact that it happened, which is the part that drains you most. The traffic, the cancelled plan, the news you didn't want, all of it is now part of your story rather than a detour from it. Meeting it squarely leaves you more room to act well.

Inspired by the old idea of amor fati. Written by Ugo Charles.
