I prepare what I can, and I make peace with the unknown.

The Stoics planned carefully, then held their plans loosely, adding a quiet 'if nothing prevents it.' You can do both: take real steps toward what you want, and accept that the world gets a vote. Worrying about the outcome doesn't prepare you; it just wears you out before the day even starts. So do the sensible things, save a little, send the message, set the alarm, and then let the future be the future. This isn't fatalism. It's putting your energy into the parts you can shape and refusing to bleed it into the parts you can't. Prepared and unattached is a calm, strong place to stand.

Inspired by the old idea of dichotomy of control, prepared mind. Written by Ugo Charles.
