Marcus watched the world the way you'd watch a river: nothing stays, everything flows on. The Stoics found comfort here, not gloom. If hard moments are passing, you can endure them. If sweet moments are passing, you can savor them more fully. Nothing you're feeling today is permanent, even when it feels like it will never lift. The tight chest, the dull week, the small joy in your coffee, all of it is moving. You don't have to cling or brace. You can let each thing arrive, stay its while, and move along, trusting that the next moment is already on its way to you.
