Seneca opens On the Shortness of Life by saying life isn't short, we just waste most of it. We guard our money and our things, then hand our hours away to anyone who asks, as if time were endless. It isn't. But this isn't meant to scare you into hustle. It's an invitation to be a little more deliberate today, to ask whether this hour is going toward something you'd be glad you chose. Rest counts. Connection counts. Joy counts. What rarely counts is the half-aware scroll you didn't even mean to start. Your time is yours. Spend a bit of it on purpose.
