I accept today as it comes, not as I wished it.

Amor fati means loving your fate, not just tolerating it. The Stoics weren't asking you to pretend hard things are good. They were pointing at the quieter freedom that arrives when you stop fighting what already is. Marcus wrote about accepting what the universe assigns the way you accept food and medicine, as part of your nature. The rain came. The plan changed. The day looks different than you pictured. You can spend your energy arguing with reality, or you can work with the day you actually got. The second path is lighter, and it leaves more of you for living.

Inspired by the old idea of amor fati. Written by Ugo Charles.
