July 14 · Reflection
Sympatheia is the Stoic sense that everything is connected, that we're made for each other the way hands or eyelids work together. Marcus said what's bad for the hive is bad for the bee. On a tired or self-absorbed day, this is a gentle correction. You're not a lone unit grinding alone. You belong to a web of people, and small acts of decency ripple outward in ways you'll never fully see. Helping isn't a favor you do the world from the outside; it's you doing your natural part within it. There's relief in that. You don't carry everything. You carry your thread, well.
