When you chase approval, you hand strangers the steering wheel of your mood. When you tend your own conduct instead, you become harder to knock over. This doesn't mean you stop caring about people. It means you stop letting their passing judgments decide your worth. What you do quietly, when no one's clapping, is the truest measure of you.
