September 21 · Reflection
Marcus asked himself a plain question on hard mornings: what am I made for? Not to stay warm under the blankets, but to do the work of a human being. He looked at plants, birds, ants, all busy at their proper task, and felt he should be no less willing to do his. This isn't grind culture. It's the dignity of contributing, of being useful to the whole you belong to. Your work, paid or not, is part of how the world keeps running and how you become who you are. Some days that's motivation enough to begin. Today, when you'd rather avoid your task, remember it's your share to give, and start with just the first piece.
