Seneca suggested setting aside days to live simply on purpose, plain food, rough clothes, and then asking, is this really what I feared? He wasn't into suffering for its own sake. He was building strength before he needed it. When you choose a little discomfort, the cold shower, the early alarm, the meal you skip, you teach yourself that you can handle more than comfort lets you believe. Then when real hardship comes uninvited, you're not meeting it for the first time. Today, pick one small inconvenience on purpose and notice you're fine. That quiet proof builds a steadiness you can lean on later.
