Marcus liked to picture himself from far above, looking down at the whole earth, the crowds, the busy lives, the kingdoms that came and went. From up there, the thing eating at him would shrink to its real size. This is the view from above, and it isn't meant to make you feel small or unimportant. It's meant to loosen the grip of a problem that has filled your whole screen. Your struggle is real. It's also one moment in a very large world, and that can be a comfort, not an insult. Today, when something feels enormous, try lifting your gaze, literally or in your mind, and let it find its actual proportions.
