I move into what comes next, carrying what I've learned.

As one month closes and another waits, the Stoics would have you notice how naturally life turns over, and to turn with it. Marcus saw existence as a river, each moment flowing into the next, nothing standing still. Endings aren't failures; they're how anything makes room for what follows. You don't need to cling to the month behind you or dread the one ahead. You can simply step forward, a little wiser for what these days taught you, carrying the small steadiness you've practiced. Whatever comes, the same tools come with you: what's yours to control, this present moment, your own good character. Today, look back briefly at what this month gave you, then let it go gently and walk on.

Inspired by the old idea of impermanence. Written by Ugo Charles.
