I start again now, without waiting to feel ready.

Marcus told himself that no one stops you from beginning to live well right now, this very moment, no matter how the morning went. We often treat a stumble as proof the whole day is ruined, then wait for some fresh, clean start. But every moment is a place you can turn from. The mistake at breakfast doesn't bind the afternoon. You don't have to wait for Monday, for January, for a better mood. The next choice is already open. Beginning again isn't pretending the slip didn't happen. It's refusing to let it decide everything that follows. You get to pick up where you are.

Inspired by the old idea of present moment. Written by Ugo Charles.
