I tend to what is mine to tend, and release the rest.

Some mornings the worry list is long, and most of it is about things you can't move: what others decide, what already happened, how the day will land. The Stoics drew one clear line. On one side sit your own choices, your effort, your response. On the other sits everything else. You are not weak for letting go of the far side. You are simply aiming your strength where it can actually do something. Today, when a worry shows up, ask gently whether it lives on your side of the line. If it doesn't, you can set it down without pretending it doesn't matter.

Inspired by the old idea of dichotomy of control. Written by Ugo Charles.
