I care for my body as the home I live in.

Seneca, often unwell himself, treated the body as something to keep in good working order so it could serve the mind, not to be obsessed over, but not neglected either. He fed it, rested it, walked it, and refused to be its slave or its tyrant. You can hold that same balance. Your body isn't a project to perfect or an enemy to fight. It's the home you live in, the thing that carries you to everyone and everything you love. Caring for it, a walk, real food, enough sleep, isn't vanity. It's basic kindness to yourself. Today, do one small thing your body would quietly thank you for.

Inspired by the old idea of tend the body to serve the mind. Written by Ugo Charles.
