July 28 · Reflection
Marcus reminded himself that the universe is change, and life is what our thinking makes of it. Nothing stays put, not seasons, not circumstances, not us. We cause ourselves a lot of pain by wishing a good moment would freeze or a role would last forever. But everything is on its way to becoming something else, and that's not a flaw in life, it's the design. When you stop demanding that things stay the same, change feels less like loss and more like motion. The job shifts, the kids grow, the body ages, the seasons turn. You can grieve what passes and still trust the moving.
