The Stoics treated the body as something to keep in reasonable order, not to obsess over, not to neglect, but to tend, because it carries you through everything you do. Marcus saw caring for it as part of living rationally and well. This isn't about chasing a perfect look or punishing yourself into shape. It's the plain respect of feeding yourself, moving, resting, the ordinary upkeep of the one body you've got. You don't have to overhaul your whole life today. One walk, one glass of water, one earlier bedtime is care enough for now. Tending your body gently, without drama, is a quiet form of self-respect you can practice any day.
