February 27 · Reflection
Marcus often told himself to do less, to ask of each thing whether it was necessary, since most of what fills our days is neither needed nor truly chosen. We pile on commitments, possessions, and noise, then wonder why we feel scattered and tired. He found that cutting the unnecessary brought a double gift: you do the things that matter, and you do them better, because you're not split a dozen ways. This isn't about owning nothing or doing nothing. It's about clearing space, on your calendar, in your home, in your head, so the few things that really matter have room to breathe. A simpler life isn't an emptier one. Often it's the fuller one, just with less in the way.
