December 7 · Reflection
Marcus liked to picture the whole earth from far above, the cities, the crowds, the endless busy lives, and his own troubles among them, suddenly small. This is not about making yourself feel tiny or unimportant. It is a way to loosen a worry's grip. When something feels like the entire world, step back in your mind and look at the wider view: the people who have faced this same thing, the years ahead in which today will be a faint memory. The problem is still real. But it returns to its true size, one thing among many, survivable. From up there, most of what tightens our chest turns out to be smaller than it felt.
