August 20 · Reflection
The first minutes of the day set its weather, and the Stoics knew it. Marcus rehearsed his mornings on purpose, reminding himself who he wanted to be before the world's noise arrived. We usually do the opposite, reaching for the phone and letting the day's first message decide our mood. But that early quiet is yours. You can use it to remember what matters, to name how you want to meet whatever's coming. This isn't about a perfect routine or forcing cheerfulness. It's about taking the wheel of the day before someone else does. A few honest minutes at the start change the hours that follow.
